St. Xavier’s College, Simdega calls the applicants for the Seed Money Research Grants to foster the research initiatives among the permanent faculty members. The grant by the college on the recommendation of the research and Development cell (RDC, intended to provision the impactful innovation in research project providing the faculty members with the essential resources to begin their scholarly and intellectual quests.

This Seed Money Research Grant aims to:

1. Encourage scholars to begin their research publications.
2. Support the projects that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their respective fields.
3. Foster interdisciplinary and innovative research initiatives.

Rs. 25,000/- (Twenty Five thousands only)

• Only regular faculty members of the college are eligible
• Maximum Age Limit: 58 Years.
• Application who receives seed money in the various financial Year are not eligible to apply in the immediately following year.

• There is no provision of research fellows.
• Up to 30% for travel assistant.
• Up to 70% for academic assistant.

Maximum of two years from the sanction date.

• Expert Panel: a copy of proposal may be sent to external member for the evaluation of the proposal-depending on subject.
• Applicants must be permanent faculty members of St. Xavier’s College, Simdega.

• Minimum one research paper publication in SCI/Scopus/Peer-Reviewed Journal and one in SXCS e-ISSN Journal.
• Minimum one research Paper presentation in National/ International Level Seminar/ Conferences and one research Paper presentation in SXCS are must.
• Final Report should be submitted within one month of project completion. The Final Submission documents (Soft Copy and Hard Copy):

1. Final Project Report.
• Cover Page with Title, Investigators name, Duration of Project.
• Research Synopsis Time
• Limitation and challenges faced during the project.
• Main Findings.
• Details of fund utilisation: including expenditure heads and supporting bills/ vouchers.
2. Research published Paper- SCI/Scopus/Peer-Reviewed Journal.
3. Research published Paper- SXCS e-ISSN.
4. Research Paper presented in National/ International Level Seminar/ Conferences.
5. Research Paper presented in SXCS Seminar/ Conferences.
6. All the Documents should be submitted to Principal’s Office though RDC SXCS.

Research Project completion/ Mid-term/ Progress Report will be evaluated by expert panel (consisting of internal and external panels).

• Seed Money must be utilised only under the approved expenditure heads and within the stipulated time period mentioned in the sanctioned letter. The expenditures are to be supported with valid bills and vouchers.
• Any unspent amount must be returned to the college account within the same financial year.
• All the equipment, books purchased out of the seed money, will be assets of the department/ college.
• Project is non transferable in any case.
• If the principal investigator fails to complete the project, he/she has to refund the entire amount released.
• No extension in the tenure is permissible in any circumstances.
• The decision of the screening committee, RDC will be final.

A format for seed money proposal should be used. In which aims and objectives, uniqueness of the project, societal relevance, innovative research, expected outcome and duration, budget should be described.

Interested faculty members are requested to submit their proposal adhering to the following requirements:

2. Documents required: A detail biodata of the applicant.
3. Submission Mode: Proposal must be submitted to RDCSXCS in hand or via email to rdcsxcs@gmail.com
