Department of Physics

The Department of Physics is committed to excellence in the education of its undergraduate and postgraduate students in core as well as related areas that encompass understanding of physical concepts, the generation and dissemination of new scientific knowledge involving physical principles and their applications. Its objective is to have a beneficial impact on the society and nation at large, while enhancing the quality of teaching and research.

The department’s faculty members are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and devoted to providing quality education in the best manner possible. The majority of them have taken a leading role in cutting-edge physics and cross-disciplinary research. They have published research articles for numerous scholarly journals and have been invited to give lectures on their areas of expertise at a variety of academic institutions.

  • The Department offers full time course in B.Sc. (Physics).
  • The four-year undergraduate programme in Physics is divided into eight semesters. It provides a wide range of ideas and concepts about fundamentals of Physics, Analog & Digital Electronics, Mathematical Physics along with modern concepts such as Quantum Mechanics and relativity, proceeding over to Academic Mechanics Electrodynamics moving forward the courses like Power and Magnetism Optics and waves likewise Statistical Mechanics and Thermodynamics.
